“Celebrate the vibrant spirit of Gaza with our authentic and traditional Gaza Hirbawi® Kufiya, a genuine Palestinian keffiyeh scarf proudly made in Palestine. This handmade Palestinian shemagh features a captivating pattern in green, yellow, rose, and bordeaux, creating a dynamic and eye-catching design. The red laces surrounding the vibrant keffiyeh pay tribute to the Gazans’ love for spicy food, where chili is a staple ingredient in their flavorful cuisine. Immerse yourself in the joyful nature of the Gazans as you embrace this unique and meaningful Palestinian kufiya, a symbol of their resilience and zest for life. Despite centuries of bitter contestation by various powers throughout history, Gaza, known as “Gazza Ard el-Izza” (the Glorious City), remains at the forefront of Palestinian heritage. It is here that the Israeli occupation is repeatedly challenged, showcasing the unwavering spirit and determination of its people.”

Made in Hebron (Al-Khalil), Palestine

About the Creator:

This kuffiyeh is woven in the Hirbawi® Textile Factory in Hebron — the last remaining kuffiyeh factory in Palestine. Since 1961, Hirbawi® has produced the traditional scarf, carrying forward a craft that embodies Palestinian identity, resilience, and pride. Each scarf is woven on traditional looms, where the rhythmic sound of weaving continues a tradition that has outlasted borders, displacement, and attempts at erasure.

From Hebron’s factory floor, this kuffiyeh began a long and difficult journey. Crossing checkpoints and navigating restrictions, it has travelled all the way to so-called Australia — each step of its movement shaped by the barriers Palestinian artisans face in sharing their work with the world.

To wear this scarf is to carry more than fabric: it is to hold a symbol of Palestinian heritage, a reminder of belonging, and a testament to the artisans who keep this tradition alive.
